Customer Service

Customer service is big business. I do not tolerate bad service that I have paid for. Remember when I moved and I had problems with the Nissan Dealership in Baton Rouge? Well I complained to the Better Business Bureau, Nissan (corporate office) and the Attorney General for the state of La. What did I get? I got my money back for the procedure that they did that I was unhappy about. I got a rental car as soon as I got to Charlotte. I got my car repaired by the Nissan dealership here free of charge. I do not hesitate to write complaints and will take my complaints up with any agency/board or other regulatory body I can.

I also had a problem with my moving company. While I had researched them on the Better Business Bureau's site, they didn't have any complaints. What I failed to note was that I was searching for a moving company in February. They were a fairly new member of the BBB and they hadn't had enough time to receive complaints. I wrote a complaint to the BBB regarding the moving company and the actual "hauler." The hauler ended up discounting my fee with them by abuot $90. The moving company continued to deny they were wrong and then they didn't respond to the BBB inquiries. I had actually forgotten all about this b/c this was almost a year ago. I got an email this past weekend from the BBB stating that they have reviewed the statements provided by both of us and they found that I was RIGHT and the moving company did not do what was outlined in our contract and some other legal mumbo jumbo. They basically gave me a "right to sue" letter. Now of course I'm not going to waste my time and energy suing the moving company, but I do feel vindicated. I waited a couple days and checked the BBB for the company to see if they had updated their report to show that the company had unresolved complaints.. How about when I checked, it showed the company had 18 complaints against it since February 2007 and all of the complaints are similar to my complaints. At least I know that anyone that hires All Cities Real Estate and Moving Services in Dallas, Tx will know that they are dealing with a bad business AND they will have the info before they fork over their cash.

I have had on and off problems with my barber. First we had to cross the hump of him being inappropriate. Sure, I'm flattered when someone compliments me, but he goes overboard sometimes. I had to actually stop him one day and ask him if his momma knew he was talking to a lady the way he was. That got nipped in the bud quick! He hasn't even attempted that mess again. Now the remarks are more along the lines of trying to convince me to meet him for a drink or meeting him for dinner. Why do I stay? B/c it's a convenient location and b/c it's cheap. He does my eyebrows and cuts my hair for $10. AND he also trims my hair. And if I go on Tuesday or Wednesday, Tyler's haircuti s only $5..

I always make an appt with him and he appreciates that. What I don't appreciate is making an appt and then having to wait a long time b/c there were walkins there before me. If that's the case, why even have an appt? He's done this a couple times and I let him know I did not appreciate it. I have also referred other people to him and he has been MIA for their appts. We had an appt on Tuesday and when I got there, I had to wait maybe 10 mins, which was fine. He proceeds to cut my hair and do my eyebrows and then someone else walks in off the street and says he is pressed for time. My barber finishes my hair and then says, "S30 do you mind if I cut his hair b/c he has an appt. I'll get right back with Tyler once I'm done." I looked at him and told him nope, I don't mind. But I'll hollar at him later. I paid for my haircut and we left.

Tyler was very confused about why we were leaving. I explained in the car that we were getting him a new barber. So yesterday we went to a new barbershop. And there is a female barber there as well. She wasn't cutting Tyler's hair, but she was very talkative to him and friendly. I've decided that she's gonna be our new barber. The shop appeared to be professional and its in a near location. The only thing is that the cost is going to go up, but I don't think I care at this point. I don't have time to waste sitting and waiting when I have an appt and I damn sure won't be pushed to the side for a walkin.

I'm pretty sure my old barber will attempt to call me in a week or so to make my next appt and I'll let him know at that time that it's been fun, but our relationship is over.
